OODUA PROGRESSIVE UNION WORLDWIDE
AT THE END OF THE SUMMIT, THE LEADERSHIP OF THE UNION RAISED SALIENT ISSUES AND UNANIMOUSLY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
1. It was unanimously agreed that the next European summit will be held in Luxembourg in the month of September, 2026.
2. The Union charged the Federal Government of Nigeria on the need to Restructure the country by adopting the 1963 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria whereby each region will develop at their own pace under one federating unit.
3. The Union tasked the leadership of OPU to explore the yearly Summit as an avenue to boost the organisation and serve as a veritable tool for aggressive mobilisation of new members.
4. The leadership of the Union enjoined the European executives and leaders to replace non- efficient and docile members with vibrant and active members.
5. The Union enjoined regions to publiish their numerous events and meetings on social media to gain more publicity and membership strength.
6. The Union advised all OPU members to intensify efforts in setting up Yoruba language schools online to promote cultural identity and language.
7. The Union agreed and urged host country to make provision for two halls in order to cater for the general meeting and the Summit.
8. The Union enjoined members to be working for unity, cohesion between sons and daughters of Yoruba Land.
9. The Union enjoined the Southwest Governors that Regional security should be reinforced and encourage Lagos State to join the Amotekun security outfit to boost the moral of other 5 States using Amotekun to combat crimes in their domain.
10, The union advise southwest Governors to work towards building joint electricity and train transport that will network all major city in Yorubaland, it will provide easy transport system for the southwest region and boost our economy.
